More On Dr. Alyssa Writes...

Alyssa began her career as a published poet and public speaker in grade school.

She co-wrote an original script with her brother that was aired as an animated series on Nickelodeon.

She appeared on screen in Akeelah and the Bee alongside Keke Palmer, Laurence Fishburne, and Angela Bassett.

As an honors student at Wildwood School, Alyssa won first-place for her acting at the Drama Teachers Association of Southern California [D.T.A.S.C.] festival and won several trophies directing middle school students through their regional D.T.A.S.C. competitions.

As a teenager, she gained professional experience at DiNovi Pictures before graduating cum laude from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.

Whether writing a book or script, Alyssa proves that every great story has a poem hiding in its DNA.
